Raksha Bandhan 2020: Bigg Boss 13's Devoleena Bhattacharjee Opens Up On Celebrating The Festival Away From Her Brother, 'Going To Be Alone'
August 3, 2020, that is, today marks the auspicious Raksha Bandhan, a festival dedicated to the sacred and eternal bond shared between all the brothers and sisters. On this day, while a sister ties a sacred thread or knot on her brother’s wrist, the latter, in return, promises to be her protector for life. Adding to the celebrations are sweets, gifts and special delicacies. Needless to say, Rakhi is among one of the Indian festivals that bring a family to unite and have a gala time. This year, however, is going to be an exception in the wake of the ongoing Coronavirus lockdown, when a lot of people are finding it difficult to travel to other cities or countries to meet their families. Something similar is the case of Bigg Boss 13 star Devoleena Bhattacharjee.

In her official statement, while the actress expressed her sadness over not being able to reunite with her brother and mother on this auspicious occasion, she said how, in a first, this year's Rakhi is going to be a virtual celebration for her. Devoleena revealed that her younger brother and mother are currently in Assam, while she is in Mumbai, all alone.  "Andeep Bhattacharjee, my younger brother he is in Assam as of now. I'm really missing him and my mom the most. This time they always be here around me. We celebrate Rakhi to Ganpati all together. But this year I'm going to be alone. Will absolutely celebrate the occasion virtually by video call," said the actress.

She added, "But my Rakhi Gift wont be virtual as once Covid is gone will have it!! As a sibling we have lots of memory from sibling fights to helping and supporting during every up & downs. We are each other big support."
